The men always have some views regarding the decision making role of their wives in the household. A greater communication between men and women will encourage the husbands to develop egalitarian views and attitude towards wives' decision making. The book has been organized into four main chapters. The first chapter gives an in-detail description of the National Family Health Survey (2005-06), followed by discussion of the concept of empowerment of women put forward by NFHS-3 as well as the different scholars through an extensive literature review. The second chapter elaborates different aspects of methodology for the purpose of research in this study. The third chapter deals with the results and discussion after analyzing both the primary and secondary data. The fourth chapter provides a summary of the findings of the study.
